More questions!

As I said last week, I came up with eleven questions to go with my elevens posts, but decided instead of posting the questions and tagging people, I’m going to post them a few at a time and ask you to answer in the comments. Here's the second installment!

1. Do you have a side of the bed? What is it? Any reason?

2. If you could go anywhere for dinner, where would it be?

  1. Normally I sleep on the side of the bed closest to the bathroom since I usually get up at some point during the night. When we moved to our new apartment last year, I stayed sleeping on the same side of the bed that formerly was near the bathroom, but now it isn't.

Dinner anywhere. Right now, I think I'd go to the place we ate after our wedding. It's called Trattoria Lisina in Austin. All their food is amazing.

  2. 1. I sleep on the left side of the bed (looking from the foot of the bed. . .the right side when laying in it.) I've always had trouble answering this question because I've never been sure what the perspective is for answering it. Of course, this is only at home. If we go out of town and the window is closest to the other side of the bed, I sleep on that side. I don't really recall why we picked those sides so very long ago. Hm.

    2. Out of town. I'm always down for traveling, and the food itself doesn't really matter most of the time. It's just going somewhere new that I like.

  3. 1. I sleep on the right side ... because I'm always right, Duh! :)

    2. Wow, I don't know. There was an awesome Indian place in Santa Rosa ... I've always wanted to do a tasting menu at any super fancy place in New York ... Casa Ludivico not far from home was amazing ... I love food. This is too hard. :)

  4. 1) I sleep on the left-hand-side of the bed. I've always done that, even as a child. I'm lucky; I think that Dave was always a right-side sleeper so bed-sharing worked out well when we got married.

    2) Dave and I were talking about one of our favourite dining experiences ever -- Skala, in Ia on Santorini. We're not going to be there any time soon, but I'd LOVE to eat there again.

  5. 1) I sleep on the left side--not sure how this happened or evolved, but even in hotels or elsewhere, I'm a lefty.

    2) In town, I would go to this seafood restaurant that T and I love. The aesthetics are so peaceful but not snooty and the food is so good and just yum. Elsewhere, I'd go back to the resort where we took our honeymoon because there was a creperie on the property and they made chocolate crepes and holy crap. Nine years later I still think of them.

  6. I sleep on the left side of the bed (when I'm lying in it and facing up toward the ceiling, the edge of the bed is on my left side). I think I do this because my mom always slept on that side of the bed. But it also makes sense for us because I tend to lie on my left side when I read and my husband tends to lie on his right side when he reads. So this way, we aren't facing each other and breathing in one another's faces.
