When I read this one, I was thinking make a tent like you
did when you were a kid. A fort, really. You know: where the couch was one end of the fort and
you dragged the coffee table over to form another side, maybe stacked a bunch
of couch cushions on a third side, then draped a blanket over the whole thing.
Low tech, nothing too strenuous.
Well. Apparently when you tell Thomas to build a tent, he builds a freaking tent. Isn't it awesome? Don't ask me how to replicate it; all I can tell you is it calls for a lot of twine, binder clips, two coat stands, and a curtain rod. Also, concrete blocks (visible in the pictures below). Way at the top there you can kind of see the back end of the roof blanket is tied to the basement windows.
Clearly my contribution was vital to the integrity of the structure. |
Okay, this is my new favorite date of yours. And Thomas has now officially locked in my vote for "Favorite Internet Husband". I love that he is so into these. Justin would just roll his eyes at me for every date except this one (he also appreciates a good tent).
ReplyDeleteHa ha these are great!
ReplyDeletehehehe ... "make a tent". I love how a little giggle turns that into something dirty.
ReplyDeleteOh, and good job Thomas! :)
I love these date night posts so much. And I agree, your husband is my favorite Internet Husband that he's so into all this. Very, very cool.
